A Word From Gina

Growing up, there were three things I loved to do to express myself: dress up in fashionable, colorful clothing, act silly dancing around the house, and I loved writing to create interesting stories with characters I could relate to. To satisfy my love of fashion, I attended Fashion High, and Fashion Institute of Technology. I later landed my dream job working for Calvin Klein and it launched an amazing career. I later moved into the world of technology, working 10 1/2 years at Gerber Technology. After leaving Gerber to start a family, I launched my own consulting business, focusing on corporate business strategies, transformation change, writing and developing documentation materials.

To satisfy my creative skills, I continued writing and developing content as a graphic designer, marketing campaigns, designing curriculum for academic institutions, and technical documentation. I also self-published a children's book. Today, as an NYU graduate with a degree in Communication & Media, I continue to work with corporate organizations spearheading change. I also write and produce short stories, blogs, corporate communications and public relations work.

                                           How I Got Here

In 2016, I attended NYU’s Women’s Film Festival, and met moderator, Kelly Edwards, former HBO Executive, Writer, Producer, and Entertainment Expert. When I shared that I was ready to return to school to study filmmaking, she inspired me to apply to NYU, and I did. On May 20th, 2022, I graduated from NYU. My mom obtained her Masters while working full-time, raising her children, and she was the inspirational reminder, that it's never too late to go back to school.

                                     My Childhood Inspiration

My  childhood, was wonderful and always inspiring. To save money, my mom made our clothes. As a public school teacher, she was a writer and also wrote a children's book. She is a huge inspiration behind my success in fashion and writing.

                                    My Inspiration Today

As a mother to two beautiful daughters, Rachel and Leah, not only are they my  pride and joy but they are the inspiration behind starting Big G, lil g Visions.

                                                        My Goal Today

Today, my goal, is to tell relevant stories that are thought-provoking and controversial, with conflict resolution that is educational, uplifting and most of all, inspiring through character empowerment and faith. I'm determined to reach the masses to inspire and empower others by getting these stories onto the big screen, and helping women tell their stories. I'm always seeking exciting opportunities to create something amazing, so let's connect: ginamooreherring@gmail.com
